| These bells were recast by John Warners & Sons of London in 1875. Details of the original bells are vague; one was by Miles Graye of Colchester in 1613 and another was by John Dyer in 1580. A third ancient bell was smashed when it fell from the tower. |

One of only two round towers in the district; the other being Great Leighs. There is ample parking around the church green which is set back from the main Chelmsford road. The nearest pub is the Kings Head. |
